GATES OF SALVATION is a living church, guided and led by the Holy Spirit. The name depicts the various gates through which souls pass to reach the ultimate gate, Salvation. While God may use different means for His children’s salvation, such as healing, deliverance, breakthroughs, or other blessings, these are not salvation itself but rather gateways to it.When someone experiences healing, breakthrough, or any of God's blessings, they should not focus solely on these. Instead, they should recognize that these serve as doors leading to Jesus, the true Salvation.
The mandate of the church is purely soul winning; to usher people through the gates of salvation. We believe that in the course of time, everyone will reach the end of their life's journey. However, whilst we are still living, our greatest concern should be where our souls shall rest when the end comes. It is those who are with Jesus that are guaranteed salvation. Any other thing we give attention to other than the Lord Jesus does not carry salvation. Therefore, our goal is clear, to bring salvation to the lost through preaching and teaching the message of Christ, which ultimately produces faith. It is faith that shall turn salvation into reality on the last day and such faith can be obtained through hearing the Word of God. Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. [Revelation 22:14 NIV]
The church's mission is to bring societal order, improve morals, and promote unity while supporting spiritual growth and success of people’s lives.
It focuses on strengthening families through reconciliation by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, and provide compassionate care to orphans, the elderly, the disabled, prisoners, and the less privileged, with the absolute desire to visit hospitals and associations to offer help. The church is dedicated to inspiring believers to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and to also train them in spiritual and life skills, empowering them as a victorious spiritual army.
Gates of Salvation Church, commonly known as ET Ministries was founded by the Holy Spirit through His Servant Evangelist Tshepo in January 2022, after being released by his mentor, Prophet Cedric at the Gospel of God’s Grace Ministries. In his words, Evangelist shares about his release and the birth of Gates of Salvation Church; “When God gave the direction about this church, everything started from the book of Nehemiah that is where God assured me that it is now time for this Ministry to be established. Nehemiah was the servant of the king – a cup bearer. But one day he received news that there are people dying in Jerusalem, the walls of Jerusalem had crumbled and were destroyed. The Spirit of God said to Nehemiah that he shall be the one to leave the palace, the protection and the security he was under, to go and re-build the walls of Jerusalem. That was me, I was with the Prophet, under his protection and receiving the Word, but there came a time God released me to go and re-build souls elsewhere. That is why I am here”.
The beginning of Gates of Salvation started with the belief that ‘everything big starts small.’ Since its inception, it has grown significantly under the leadership of Evangelist Tshepo, whose mission is to bring people back to the Lord and win souls for the kingdom of God. The man of God has impacted and keeps on impacting lives through his dedication and sacrifice for the work of God. He is an epitome of God's love, a true disciple who has dedicated his life to walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ with one mission; to win souls for the kingdom of God. His teachings continue to leave an indelible mark in the lives of many and through the gift of God in him, he continues to impact lives.
It all began in 1998 when Evangelist Tshepo became a part of the Evangelism group which specialised on inviting people to church through word of mouth. In no time he became an assistant usher. Shortly after that in 2001, he was trained as a pastor in South Africa, then began his pastoral work in Namibia. He later returned to Botswana, where he continued serving at both the headquarters and various branches across the country. In 2011 Pastor Tshepo was given an assignment as per the direction of the Holy Spirit to oversee the youth group at the Universal Church. During that period, he ministered the Word of God to them, engaged them in several activities; winning souls through evangelism, football games, volley ball and talent shows just to mention a few. He organized impactful vigils such as "Back to School" and "Night of Re-Direction" to provide guidance and support. Additionally, he led a youth movement called PUSH (Pray Until Something Happens) to inspire and motivate the young people to persevere with their dreams. Through all these activities many youth were impacted positively in academics, character and other areas of their lives. Young men were saved especially through soccer as he made use of the sport activity to bring many of them to the light. In 2012 the leadership of the Universal church seeing his loyalty, hard work and also faithfulness to his cause, found it fit to consecrate and ordain him as a pastor.
Indeed God’s ways are not our ways, and where He leads we follow. From a revelation God gave him, Pastor Tshepo followed God’s direction to join Prophet Cedric in July 2013. At the time, the Prophet of God gave him prophecy that though he is training him and so desires to walk with him forever, he sees the Lord releasing him in future. He became an Evangelist at 3G Ministries for a period of seven years, which is from 2014 until 2021. Within that period, Evangelist Tshepo was engaged in activities of the church such as outreach program and doing different assignments given by the Prophet. The journey continues…
