Sunday Service - with Evangelist Tshepo
Sunday 11th January 2026, the first sermon at Gates of Salvation Church started on a very high note, from a moment of intercession, worship, and faith building testimonies . Every believer came ready and expectant bearing in mind that this year calls for one’s unwavering faith in Christ. Since there is never a dull moment in the house of God, a moment of praise got the young and old down to the dance floor, thanking God and praising Him for such a unique year. Ascending the altar to share with the church a fresh revelation from above, Evangelist Tshepo said: “2026 is A YEAR OF YOUR UNWAVERING FAITH IN CHRIST. Anything that comes your way, be it a blessing, challenges or whatsoever must find you at the feet of Jesus as that is the safest and secure place for you to be hence the need for you to have an unwavering faith in Christ... the opposition they may face. The scripture says:
A life of prayer is but the initial step for the atmosphere of your life to be filled with the presence of God. This creates an atmosphere that is charged with the blessings of God because time spent in prayer is time spent with Him. In addition, there is no how you can be active in your relationship with God without being active in your prayer life because prayer is but the character of those who have a relationship with God – It is the identity of a genuine Christian! Take note: to Christians who maintain a prayer life, prayer is not a means of solving problems but a lifestyle and a means of communication as they do not see themselves living outside God. Even with the disciples, Jesus had to emphasize to them, the importance of prayer because He knew they were going to struggle in His absence if they do not pray – a sign that man’s survival is in God through prayer. The scripture says:
The Sunday of Gratitude is a day that will forever be etched in the memories of believers. The day started on a high note, accompanied by a myriad of performances, all focused on returning glory to the Maker who has sustained the church throughout the Year of a Great Comeback. Emphasizing the importance of gratitude, Evangelist Tshepo drew inspiration from the book of Luke and shared an inspiring message that encouraged the church to cultivate a culture of giving gratitude to God in all circumstances. In his God-inspired address His able servant said: “Gratitude grants more grace, meaning, it is a door that ushers one into grace. In simple terms, a grateful person is always granted more grace by his/her attribute of gratefulness. Therefore, if you want to see the grace of God in your life, you must be grateful person. When you are able to do so, mor e grace will be granted to your life,” he explained. For better understanding, the man of God cited the scripture in Luke 17 which reads:
